Leon Le Pelletier was a celebrated French alchimist.
The present work is the french translation of extracts from writtings of Eirenaeus Philaletha and Georges Starkey, with additionnal commentary from certain works of Van Helmont.

Our alchemist in this book develops the principles of Paracelsus and Van Helmont on Alkaest or universal solvent.

Alkaest is a milestone in the realization of the philosopher's stone. By dissolving the body in their primitive matter, it allows alchemists isolate the raw metals.
