This book is a proposal for an economic reform for France, written by Rioux de Maillou, Member of Parliament, at the end of the 18th century. It is organized in two parts: the explanation and the goal of this reform, and a detailed decree with 32 articles.
The aim of his reform is to reduce the people's taxes as much as it is possible and to successfully reduce the country's debt. One of its idea is to abolish taxes at internal barriers and customs.

Book relating the conquest of Mexico by Cortes. The author's will is to correct Antonio de Solis's History of the Conquest of Mexico by redacting uncertain or improbable facts.
"The customs, the characters, all the main events, the only ones worthy of passing down to posterity, are preserved; the order of the times are respected. The details suppressed, changed, embellished, are those which, according to Solis, haven't any basis other than uncertainty or conjecture. " (extract from the preface).

Completely revised and expanded edition of the custom of Burgundy by Chasseneuz.
A book on the origins of French law.
Chasseneuz's comments on customary law in Burgundy draw heavily on Roman law. Following him, other authors will revise local customary rights, such as Bouhier with the Customs of Berry. At the beginning of the 16th century, all customary law was thus reviewed and put back in order, constituting a legal corpus which would serve as the basis for the great reform of the Napoleonic Code.
"The appearance of his book was an event in the legal world. Its success soon exceeded the limits of Burgundy. [...] We saluted, in its author, the man who, the first, had just introduced the light of Roman law in the chaos of local customs." PIGNOT, "A Jurisconsult in the Sixteenth Century: Barthélemy de Chasseneuz", Larose, 1880
Beautiful Gothic print on two columns embellished with initials and 7 full-page engravings of inheritance trees. The completely revised edition of 1534 appears with a sequel, dated 1535 and with its own title page, listing all the additions to the Commentaries of Chasseneuz published in 1517 and 1528.

Translated from Polish by the pimple of Solignac.
In 1736, at the end of a war of succession which opposed French and Russian interests, Stanislas I, King of Poland, abdicated.
It is therefore as a free-speaking citizen that he writes his observations on the government of Poland.
Prince philosopher he writes in his preface:
"[our ancestors] established a fair balance between the power of Majesty, & the rights of liberty. They claimed that our Kings by the Majesty of their character, could contain liberty to prevent it from going as far as license, and that liberty, by the authority of our constitutions, could repress the ambition of our kings, if it ever led them to despotism. This salutary order no longer exists.".

Work in favor of the liberalization of the right to print money which was (and will remain) the privilege of the Banque de France. The author, "free-banker" as they were called, defends that "There is no reason of principle or case law to exempt fiduciary issuance from common law, to outlaw it from industrial freedom." His book comes in response to the crisis of the Banque de Savoie, during which the Savoyard bank was deprived of the right to coin money after the annexation of the Duchy of Savoy by France.
