This book consists of the physiology lessons taught by Professor Jacques Lordat (1773-1870, one of the representatives of the Montpellier Medical School) during the 1843-1844.
The subject of this physiology course is to demonstrate the insenescence of human intelligence: the principle of human intelligence does not decrease when its vital force (the body) decreases. In other words, the intelligence does not decrease as the body begins to age.
