Ulysse Trélat was a doctor, a Phd of Medicine at the Faculty of Paris, and a French politician (1795-1879). He worked at La Salpêtrière of Paris.
In "De la Constitution du corps des médecins et de l'enseignement médical", he proposed fundamental reforms for the interest of "Science and Moral Public". He presented his results of the state of the discipline, after having been appointed by Mr. S. E., the Minister of Interior at the time, at the Royal Academy of Medicine.

Louis-René Desbois de Rochefort (1750-1786) is a French doctor, "he shone as a professor, although he was not very methodical in the exposition of his doctrines, and little punished in his speech, he did not publish any work of during his lifetime. " (Medarus).
This posthumous work is compiled by Corvisart who also signs the praise of Desbois.
Our edition follows the original and corrects the title page which indicated 1779 instead of 1789.

Course on Therapeutic Pharmacology given by Nicolas Dumoulin during the years 1868-1869 at the University of Ghent. Nicolas Du Moulin (1827-1890) was a Belgian physician. In 1857, he was appointed to lecture in pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Ghent (Faculty of Medicine). In 1870, he exchanged his pharmacology courses for internal medicine courses. The writer, Cyrille Van Cauwenberghe, left his signature at the head of the book. The course details the different formulations of medications and their therapeutic uses. Noteworthy is a long chapter on rye ergot, used as an abortive substance.
