His Cours de Mécanique des Fluides (Course in Fluid Mechanics), published with the collaboration of L. Malavard (civil engineer in Aeronautics) and prefaced by Henri Villat, is an essential textbook for training in hydrodynamics and aerodynamics. The work, produced under the auspices of the Institute of Fluid Mechanics in Paris (founded by the Ministry of Air), addresses crucial topics for engineering of the time, such as perfect fluids, lift, and drag. It demonstrates the importance of fluid mechanics for the development of aviation.

His Cours de physique de l'École Polytechnique (Physics Course of the École Polytechnique) is a fundamental textbook for higher physics education in the 19th century. Volume II is particularly interesting as it covers acoustics and the physical theory of light, areas where Lamé himself made significant contributions, notably in elasticity theory and wave propagation. This course reflects the rigor and breadth of knowledge required for students of the École Polytechnique during this period.
