Guillaume Mauquest de La Motte (1655-1737) was a French surgeon.
He studied in Paris, mainly in surgery, which he studied for five years at the Hôtel-Dieu. After obtaining the title of doctor, he returned to his native region, where he practiced surgery and obstetrics for more than fifty years.
Chapter 3 (from page 82) deals with superfertility, which consists of the formation of a new pregnancy in a uterus that already contains a developing pregnancy (an extremely rare phenomenon in men).
