Jean Cruveilhier (1791-1874) was a French physician, surgeon, anatomist and pathologist recognized for his works in the field of anatomopathology. He was member of the Academy of Medicine, and the first chairman of anatomical pathology of the Faculty of Medicine of Paris.
He had among his patients, Talleyrand, Châteaubriant, Alfred de Vigny or Chopin (which he did the autopsy).
Important book for the study of anatomopathology in the second half of the nineteenth century.
