4to (255x185 mm), (6)-cxxvi-(2)-251-xxxii pages ("privilège" is missing at the end).  binding : Contemporary full calf, spine gilt in six compartments. Head and tail of spine worn, corners bumped with loss of leather on the upper corner of the first cover. Large crossing-out on the title page. the page 197 is browned and formerly repaired in the margin.

Hyacinthe-Théodore Baron (1686-1758), is a French doctor, dean of the faculty of medicine of Paris in 1730.
He gives us here a Parisian pharmacopoeia, which was to compete with the pharmacopoeias of Montpellier, the faculty of competing medicine.
