Niels Henrik Abel (1802-1829) was a Norwegian mathematician. Like Galois at the same time, he died young but left behind a considerable body of work.
This edition includes the famous Mémoire de Paris, the manuscript of which had been lost during the first edition of his complete works in 1839.
