Denis Eydoux (1876-1933) was an engineer from the Ponts et Chaussées, substitute professor at the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, and a doctor of science. His work Hydraulique générale et appliquée (General and Applied Hydraulics), published under the direction of M. Mesnager (member of the Institute and Inspector General of Ponts et Chaussées), is part of the "Encyclopedia of Civil Engineering and Public Works" collection. This manual is a reference for the study of hydraulics for engineering purposes, covering both theoretical principles and their practical applications in public works. The preface by M. Blondel (member of the Institute) and the patronage of the Société Hydrotechnique de France attest to its importance in the field.
