New edition, corrected and considerably increased by the author, with handcolored plates.
Complete copy with the 99 engraved plates, of which 93 are finely handcolored, depicting electrical experiments, chemical and optical apparatus, scientific games, etc.
The first volume deals with mathematics, magnet, mechanics and numbers. The second volume deals with geometry, light, optics and electricity. The third volume contains "recreations" around the magnet and the catoptric. And the last and fourth volume consists of chapters on mechanics, on the writing of the occult, the magnet, water, fire and air, electricity, arithmetic and artificial memory.
