Quite singular geometry work adorned with 82 engravings in the text exposing the problem to be solved in a small scenette.
The engravings are the work of Sébastien Leclerc. A pupil of Le Brun, Leclerc was a painter and engraver, but his penchant for science led him to become a cartographer and military engineer.
