Book from the hospitable sisters of the Hotel-Dieu in Poüancé, a small town on the edge of Anjou in which they practiced medicine for the poor at the end of the 17th century.
The book promotes the teaching of charity medicine offered by the sisters every spring for ladies of charity and school teachers. There follows a catalog of remedies that could be made there.
