Un volume in quarto (211x160 mm), frontispice, (6)-856-(38)-(2 bl.) pages. reliure : Plein veau de l'époque, dos à cinq nerfs orné et doré. Mors fendillé. Mouillure claire dans le coin du papier. Déchirure anciennement restaurée en marge supérieure du portrait, sans manque.

Ouvrage important pour l'histoire de la chimie dans lequel Stahl expose ses théories sur la zymotechnie qui posent en fait les bases de la phlogistique, théorie chimique qui dominera tout le XVIIIème siècle jusqu'à Lavoisier.
