Leonhard Euler's Letters to a German Princess (1707-1783) is a collection of correspondence written between 1760 and 1762. In it, Euler presents principles of physics, philosophy, and ethics in an accessible manner, intended for the education of the Princess of Anhalt-Dessau. This work is remarkable for its pedagogical clarity and its effort to popularize science. It is accompanied in this 1859 edition by a eulogy of Euler by Condorcet and notes by Émile Saisset, thus enriching the context and scope of the original work.
