Gaston Darboux (1842-1917) was a French mathematician, known for his contributions to geometry and analysis. He was a professor at the Sorbonne and perpetual secretary of the Académie des Sciences. This work is a collection of his writings on algebraic curves and surfaces, as well as on the theory of imaginaries in geometry, a field he helped develop.
