The front cover is ornamented, with delicassy, with feminine figures framing the golden title, a view of Paris and a steam train, all in a very colorful style. The golden coat of arms of the city of Paris is placed in the center of the back cover.
First edition.
This book is illustrated by 107 engravings in the text and 8 large compositions by Lucien Métivet (1863-1932, a French poster artist, cartoonist, illustrator, and author who achieved notoriety during the "Belle Époque").
